Dating back to the late 1700’s, the
Quentin Tavern was originally built as a manor house of a large estate, associated with either the Penn Family or the Coleman Family. In the 1840’s, the manor house was converted into a tavern and rest stop for those traveling the Great Conestoga Road, and the Forbes Road. The two roads eventually joined together and became the Pennsylvania Road.
